If anyone had told us this bottle cost under $20.00, we would have shrugged it off as someone spinning a yarn. Why? Go and buy this beautiful wine and taste the spicy bouquet that slips onto your tongue with a silky, smoky, smoothness that quickly has you looking for the next bottle (JK- sort of). Honestly, grab two bottles, because you will eventually look for the second. Especially, if you have a guest over to enjoy our lamb lollipop and creamy polenta recipe.
The vintner destems the cute little granache grapes before the fermentation, which takes about three weeks. The wine is then bottled without filtration.
Between berries, vanilla, toast, and tobacco, this wine has a velvety smooth bouquet that practically blooms in the glass.
What we love about this red wine is it truly is a heavyweight French wine without the heavy import price tag.
