Here are our top ten favorite Post Road Liquor wine recommendations from 2018. We can’t wait to taste what 2019 has for us!
1. 2016 RAEBURN RUSSIAN RIVER CHARDONNAY

TASTING NOTES – A balanced expression with mild oak influence lending itself to soft vanilla notes, complemented by a bright pear/nectarine undertone. Perfect as an aperitif!
2. 2016 CHATEAU MILLE ANGES BLANC
COST – $24.99
GRAPE – Sauvignon Blanc
COUNTRY – France
REGION – Bordeaux
TASTING NOTES – Superb nose, complex, full-bodied, the wine is ripe and fresh at the same time, showing intense flavors of exotic fruits, floral and mineral notes. The palate is similarly rich, with wonderful fruit aromas that persist on the lengthy finish, while preserving a delicious vivacity.
3. 2016 CASA CASTILLO MONASTRELL

GRAPE – Monastrell, with a smidge of Garnacha and Syrah

TASTING NOTES – A pleasant red with a wild edge: floral (roses) and bramble aromas on the nose over a background of red and black fruit. Fresh, slightly earthy palate with grainy tannins; good rusticity and very pleasant to drink. Great value.
4. GRAN PASSIONE ROSSO

GRAPE – 60% Merlot, 40% Corvina
COUNTRY – Italy
REGION – Veneto
TASTE/NOTES – Rich purple color, luscious nose full of sweet ripe dark cherry, plum, vanilla and Christmas spice. Nice balance between tannins and acidity. All in all – velvety red.
5. ROBERT SINSKEY PINOT GRIS LATE

TASTING NOTES – A bouquet of aromas with honeysuckle, pear, apricot and peach with back notes of walnut, almond and tarragon. Initially a bit tight, the wine blossoms with a spin in the glass. The flavor mimics the aroma with the addition of lemon curd and clover honey with a snap of fresh ginger that accentuates the supple, nectar-like mid-palate and a lingering, almost citrus-like finish.

TASTING NOTES – Crisp, bright, and vivacious, CB+V 2017 is an aromatic white blend boasting a bouquet of oroblanco blossoms, honeysuckle, citrus, tropical fruit, and fresh cut green herbs. The bright entry reveals lychee, key lime, white peach, grapefruit, and nectarine flavors. Lemon-lime and balanced acidity carry through the clean, gentle, lingering finish.

TASTING NOTES – Clear, brilliant appearance. Pale pink color with bluish reflections. The aroma is highly expressive: spicy notes combined with many small red fruits (blackcurrants, redcurrants, wild strawberries) and Peach Melba, with citrus notes at the finish. On the palate, crisp, initially mineral, and then avidly fruity. The finish majors on delicacy and slight minerality

POST ROAD’S DESCRIPTION – Crisp citrus, creamy mouthfeel, dry finish, crowd-pleasing cocktail wine from the Valdadige region of Italy.
TASTING NOTES – Creamy with yellow fruit, dried apricot, to which spicy, herbaceous notes mingle. It has a solid ripe acidity structure, which makes it lively and refreshing, with a long finish.
