Fun things keep popping up on the horizon of Providence, Rhode Island! That gorgeous little town soon will have a new hot spot to add to its growing list of fun and scrumptious restaurants- Quay!
Next week, Quay will open its doors along the river walk for people to enjoy fresh food and creative drinks. Quay’s Owner, Jordan Boslego describes Quay as-
Quay is a Mediterranean small plates restaurant and cocktail lounge located along the Providence river walk in Waterplace Park. It will offer an inventive menu of fresh food and drink, precisely prepared with the finest ingredients, and beautifully presented. We pride ourselves on friendly, knowledgeable and professional service and strive to develop a reputation for consistency.
Quay’s concept arose from three primary sources of inspiration:The unique waterfront site with cobblestoned pavers, which has a relaxing and distinctly European feel;
Italian “Camparinos”, or Campari bars, which specialize in refreshing hot-weather cocktails paired with simple but fine snacks;
Greek and Lebanese taverna and estiatorio concepts in New York City, which have enjoyed tremendous success through their skillful combination of Mediterranean flavors, lots of great olive oil, and beautiful décor.
The word “Mediterranean” is purposefully broad: it allows us to draw from the food, wine and cocktail traditions of countries including Lebanon, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Cyprus. Quay’s interior aesthetic imagines a cliffside Greek mansion: dramatic 21-foot ceilings, plastered white walls, rich woods and designer finishes create a relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere for year-round dining and entertainment. The perfect location to host a special event.
Of course, there will be lovely plates, like this sexy beef carpaccio dish. But, you know I’m all about the cocktails!
Here’s a lovely recipe, that Quay will feature. Just what we need, a little Smooth Sailing…to keep everyone balanced. Using Keel Vodka, a refined sailors vodka, this light cocktail will have everyone raising their glasses in the air!
KEEL founders Tom McGowan, Bill Dessel, and Matt Light, a former New England Patriot, were looking to create an experience unparalleled to anything on the market. With the purest rocky mountain water and exceptional smoothness, KEEL Vodka is a Premium Light Spirit® unmatched in quality and drinkability.
