TASTING NOTES – The 2016 edition is an exciting, yet friendly wine, bursting at the seams with aromas of macerated wild berries and an elegant, soft earth undertone. The flavors combine both sweet and tart, reminiscent of Santa Rosa plums and wild blackberries that grow so commonly in Sonoma Wine Country. The finish is bright, slightly herbal, and savory making this an excellent food wine, as well as a charming drinking experience by itself.

Banshee is a strange name for a bottle of wine. The word banshee comes from Irish mythology and is a mystical fairy woman who screams in the night to announce the death of a loved one. Pretty strong imagery for a bottle of Pinot Noir.

But, it’s with that same drive that banshee carries out her duty that this bottle of wine is made.

Banshee wines began as a small start-up, but has grown into a cult favorite.

They consider their Pinot Noir one of their most important varietals. This vintage marks the end of the drought in  Northern California, so it’s even more important.

Fermented in small, stainless steel vessels, and then aged in 100% high-end French Oak, this wine is definitely one to scream for- and to share with friends!

We found it light, with berry flavor, and simply smooth!
