I freaking love this wine. Confession- If I’m in an Italian restaurant and I see a glass of Gavi on the wine list, I generally order it. Why- because it’s usually a dependable break from the usual. The La Battistina Gavi delivered precisely what I enjoy, and for under $20! Thank you Post Road Liquors! Thank you for once again reminding us there are white wine alternatives to just Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
I could be wrong, but I think if you like Sauvignon blanc, you’ll dig sipping on a glass of La Battistina Gavi. It has that same crisp minerality. However, there’s a lovely pear note that carries through each taste, making it a fresh choice!
La Battistina Gavi might only be $17.99, but the fact that it pairs with any light summer dish makes it a priceless work of art! I recently had a delicious scallop dish at Fin Point Boston and ever since I’ve had scallops on the brain!
When Post Road recommended I try this Gavi wine, I scooped up some local fresh scallops and went to work! You have to try our scallop with creamy pancetta and corn recipe!
